Gioco Marketing Campaign 2018/19

About the project.

In October 2018 the new marketing campaign for Gioco was being scheduled. An external company was given the task to create the Visual Identity of the campaign. Beautiful rendered imagery of hands playing and holding objects was the final proposal, but when they delivered the marketing work relative to landing pages and banners for the campaign the design team was not truly impressed with the results.

We took the project over.

The original file as we had it. To flat, wrong lettering, unbalanced.

What to do?

A quick sketch of the result we wanted for the final product.

The overall look of the page was messy, the lettering not good enough and the final composition was empty and un balanced.

The background was flat and single coloured and we wanted the page to follow a z-pattern to have a better conversion. We needed to:

  1. Reorganise informations
  2. Improve composition
  3. Improve background of the different games
  4. Provide the page a better flow.


The flow of the whole page

The first idea was about to put the focus on the offer.
The second one on the image leading to the offer.

The flat background and the 'empowered' one + the grid.

We took the original colour of the page and gave it a set of gradient to give to it more depth and a bit of a texture.
Everything was mounted and aligned to the grid.

For every game we created a gradient that reflected the main colour of the game.
